For people, who do not have any book on testing (or no referenced book by ISTQB ), please also keep in mind, that there is available the ISTQB glossary for download.
This is interesting: I mean in the syllabs the importance of definitions is mentioned, so a look into the glossary won't hurt
3. Also keep in mind, that: the GTB Working Party Glossary is working at the moment to translate the english glossary into german. People involved in this subject are: Horst Pohlmann, Armin Beer, Matthias Daigl, Tilo Linz, Thomas Müller, Joanna Nowakowska, Eike Hagen Riedemann, Ina Schieferdecker, Andreas Spillner, Stephanie Ulrich
So, people who want to extend knowledge on tetsing issues, also should read on their papers/research projects.
